Old man Falur sharp as a knife

Written by Die Tour Phantome at 12:52 31/5-2013

"Too old? Me? Nonsense! Age is just a number..." Falur Sigfinnurssons pre Germany Tour press conference turned into a true cross examination of the Icelandic ace. Central question: can he still keep up with the young guns?
"Of course I can", Falur said. "I like to compare myself to Cadel Evans. Ever heard of him? Most youngsters in the Giro d'Italia would've wished they had his legs and perseverance." Confronted with Evans' disappointing time trial that cost him seond place in GC, Falur was clear. "Don't blaim Cadel for that one. It could've happened to anybody. We all know results in Tour TT's are completely random."
Near the end of the press conference things got really heated, when a reporter for the Faeroer national tv asked if Sigfinnurson and Faeroer-rider Petur Snaelaugursson would form a coalition in the German mountains. Falur again was very outspoken. "No way! I hate pharaohs. Building those obnoxious pyramids in the middle of the desert! Hate them! I'd rather walk the entire GT course than help somebody nicknamed The Pickle do well! That silly cucumber..."
Accidently at this stage a power blackout occured, so Falurs next words got lost in the melee. But one thing is for sure: old man Falur is sharp as a knife. And that does not bode well for pickles and cucumbers alike...

  Good luck Alexx!

@Noppes- It was for sure not a drunken Dane, but a drunken Norwegian...
Nah, but the reason is that there are many glaciers on Iceland and Erik the Red who discovered Greenland wanted others to move there aswell so he lied about it being so green there :p

Die Tour Phantome at 14:34 31/5-2013
As we say in Dutch: hoe ouder hoe gekker. We here at Die Tour Phantome management are completely stupefied by Falurs sudden burst of self esteem... ;-)

NECFTW at 13:32 31/5-2013
  lol :)

You know what I never understood? Why is Iceland called Iceland and Greenland Greenland and not the other way around? Must have been some drunken Dane.
